Kladdkaka a Swedish gooey cake
Kladdkaka is a classic Swedish cake known for its irresistibly gooey center and crisp, crackly top. Made with rich cocoa and simple ingredients, this easy-to-make treat has a texture between brownies and molten cake.
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven and prepare the pan
Preheat oven to 140°C and grease and line a 20cm springform pan. -
Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients
Mix melted butter, sugar, flour and cocoa together until smooth. -
Add the eggs
Beat 3 eggs together, then add them to the mixture, stirring until fully combined. -
Pour Batter into Pan and bake
Pour the cake mixture into the prepared springform pan. Place the springform pan in the oven and bake for 29 to 35 minutes. For a soft and gooey cake, bake until just done; the longer it bakes, the more the batter will set. -
Serve
Let the cake cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, transfer the cake to a plate and sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
