Description
Treat yourself to our irresistibly fudgy Chocolate Brownies! These decadent squares are loaded with melted chocolate chips in the dough and on top for an extra indulgent touch.
Ingredients
100g cocoa drops (1/3 for topping, 2/3 for batter)
115g butter
120g brown sugar
1 egg
1tsp vanilla extract
60g flour
2tbsp cocoa powder
1/2tsp salt

Preheat the OvenPreheat your oven to 175°C. Grease and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 2/3 of the chocolate chips (about 67g) in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare BatterIn a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients and Mix BatterIn a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the melted chocolate (2/3 portion) and remaining chocolate chips (1/3 portion).

Bake Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool and ServeRemove the brownies from the oven and immediately sprinkle the remaining melted chocolate chips (1/3 portion) over the top. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares.
